Oh oh I can tell you how I handle this!
First, I must acknowledge that epithets are hard. When writing in a specific character's POV, you have to be careful about describing another character only using descriptors that they would use or it'll feel awkward and weird. (I don't generally think about my sister's height relative to mine and therefore wouldn't refer to her as "the tall one" or even "the taller one", for example, unless it's relevant in the moment. Talking? Not relevant. Her hitting her head on a ledge that I missed? Relevant. That wouldn't be true of someone I just met. If you're tall[er than me] I'm probably noticing it and don't have other ways to differentiate you from other strangers.)
Luckily, I don't usually have to resort to epithets in writing, because readers can generally follow pronouns and support way more proper name uses than you might expect! Pronouns by definition are placeholders for proper names. Where writing gets confusing is when it feels like the pronouns are floating free and unmatched. Reconnecting the proper noun and the pronoun is all you need to reset.
Within a paragraph, use a proper noun enough to be clear. Vague, I know, but it really is an art instead of a science and largely comes down to personal taste. Refining your personal taste can help a ton, and one way to do that is to look at works by people who you feel write these kinds of scenes clearly and cogently. I'm going to use my own writing as an example, just to make it easy for myself.
Structuring your writing so the subject is fairly consistent will help a ton, as will "checking in" with a proper noun when it feels like you've checked in on the other person more recently.

[alt: The muscles in Bruce’s face, Jason realized, were good at going completely still when surprised. That was useful. He had said intervened like Jason had done it on purpose, throwing himself into this nightmare to save Bruce instead of acting like a petulant, stomping child. He had just a moment to wonder if the look from Bruce was meant as gratitude or as an apology when Bruce turned his attention back to the others. “It should reverse in a few days.”]
In the snippet above, because I'm moving tightly between two he/him characters, I use their names just enough to stick into place who's being reference at any given point. If I had wanted to be extra careful, I could have changed "He had just a moment to wonder" to "Jason had just a moment to wonder."
Over multiple paragraphs, when you're sticking with one person, reconnecting (or what I mentally refer to as "checking in") can happen once a paragraph and really shouldn't be needed more than that.
Tumblr media
[alt: He really didn’t have much of note to say. Dick narrated his way through the canned goods and the dry goods, making jokes about Wally’s Skittles stash and the cans of Spaghetti-Os Roy demanded be kept on hand but no one else ever touched. He talked about a TV show he had been watching and made a joke that elicited a hrmm from Bruce that would have been a laugh from anyone else. And the more he talked, the more he remembered little stories from his week that he had tucked away with a mental note to tell Bruce.
At last, though, Dick had finished his final story and let the call lapse into a pause that stretched into silence. He bit his bottom lip and fidgeted with the rolls of gauze, stacking them into pyramids outside the gutted medical kit. He could never tell with Bruce whether the silences were contented or an interrogation technique, the patience of an investigator applying pressure to a reluctant witness. In the end, it didn’t much matter.]
But really, truly, the TL;DR of it all is you don't need as many epithets as you think; as long as you don't go crazy with your subject and object switches and check in on your connections regularly, you can lean on pronouns way more than you think; and readers can handle way more uses of names than you might suspect.
Me writing a scene with two or more people of the same gender and trying not to get the readers confused, while also trying not to overuse the characters' names or epithets

joe burrow x fem!reader
summary: everyone says joe is cocky, arrogant, self-centered… why do you keep letting him take you home?
warnings: explicit sexual content 18+, MDNI. mentions of alcohol/drinking.
word count: 2.2k. (much like general grievous, this fic was shorter than i expected.)
note: omg it’s been a while since i posted a joe fic… but i’m so back. i miss you guys and love you ♥️
Tumblr media
every head in the building turned to watch joe burrow stroll through the door. you’d seen it happen many times, any time you wound up at the same event he was at, his natural gravitational pull drew all eyes and all attention.
he waded through the bodies with an effortless confidence, his aura hung heavy over the room like a fresh blanket of fog rolling in. his sunglasses sat low on the bridge of his nose and you could’ve sworn you saw him eyeing himself in one of the windows he passed - but could you blame him?
any man who looked that good, had that physique, that confidence… joe deserved to feel good about himself. the stats didn’t lie, despite the difficult seasons he’d unfortunately endured the past few years, he was the best in the league. nobody could really argue that he wasn’t, and anyone who did spewed baseless nonsense in defense of their own sub-par quarterback.
his friends flanked his sides as he continued to roam farther into the party, they were all poised just like joe, their heads were held high.
you knew all the girls here dreamt of being his partner, those who surrounded him at every gathering hung on to his every word… but you also had the strange satisfaction of knowing that at every shared event you both attended, he’d end up taking you home.
despite his big reputation, you liked joe. there was just something about him that drew you in.
at some point in the night he’d make his way over to you and buy you a drink, or lean in and whisper in your ear seductively - and sometimes he didn’t have to say a word to you. he’d glance over his shoulder toward the door and you would follow him wordlessly out to his car.
this time would be no different, but you intended to play coy. you sat alone at the bar, your presence innocuous as the party raged on around you. you were hyper-aware that joe had already seen you, and you could feel his gaze burning into your back as your body was faced in the opposite direction.
you ordered a rum and coke, something fairly light, and you didn’t plan on finishing it. you took a few sips as you listened to the chatter of conversations around you, and you took out your phone to lazily check your notifications.
the girl next to you droned on to her friend about the boy problems she was having and you forced back a giggle as you saw her friend roll her eyes for what seemed like the fiftieth time. you scrolled through your text notifications and your instagram feed as you waited for joe to approach you, just like you knew he would.
after waiting for what felt like forever, you turned your head to see if you could find joe somewhere in the crowd, and you did. he sat at a round table with his friends. a few girls sat close to them, but they weren’t necessarily on top of the group. as if he could feel you looking, joe’s eyes met yours and he raised an eyebrow playfully. you jokingly rolled your eyes at him before turning back to your phone and taking a sip of your drink.
seconds later you could feel his dominating aura behind you, and the girls next to you suddenly went quiet. joe picked up your drink and took a swig, slightly grimacing at the rum as it burned his throat.
you bit back a laugh as you eyed him up and down. “you look good,” you told him, a careful attempt at complimenting him without stroking his ego. “mhm,” he agreed, leaning into you, “so do you.”
the girls next to you were now completely enthralled with the scene playing out before them, their eyes wide with bewilderment. joe’s breath fanned over your face as he continued to lean in, all the way down until his lips ghosted over the shell of your ear. “wanna leave?” he teased, his teeth grazing over your earlobe.
“what if i don’t wanna go with you tonight?” you countered, much to his surprise. he pulled back, wide eyes searching yours as he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “you… don’t want to come with me?” he asked, pointing back and forth between the two of you. you giggled at him before hopping off your stool and grabbing your things. you extended your hand toward his and he took it, eyeing you up and down.
“take me home, hot-shot,” you winked.
he didn’t need any further coercing. joe led you out of the crowded party and immediately to his car, opening the door for you so you could slide in just as you had many times before.
you weren’t sure what spurred it, what always kept you naturally drawn to each other like this — but you weren’t complaining. he quickly backed the car out and pulled into the road, heading straight for his house.
his hand found purchase on your thigh, his long calloused fingers squeezing over the flesh as his other hand white-knuckled the steering wheel. had your attempt at a joke pissed him off? you weren’t sure.
you kept your eyes trained on the road as your breathing started to quicken, all due to joe’s hand slowly sliding up your leg and closer to your throbbing core. you gasped as you approached a red light and joe finally turned his gaze toward you, the apples of his cheeks burning red as he dipped his fingers into your panties and scooped up some of your wetness before he traced the calloused pads over your clit.
that was why he was gripping the steering wheel so hard… it wasn’t that he was angry, he was just ridiculously horny. maybe it had been the alcohol he consumed, maybe it was knowing he’d get to take you home and fuck you silly… maybe it was all that wrapped up together.
the light turned green but joe didn’t notice, his focus was on the soft gasps he was pulling from your mouth as his fingertips continued to work over your sensitive nub. you’d begun to spread your legs wider for him, arching your back against the seat as he quickly worked you up to your high.
but then, a car behind you beeped their horn rapidly. joe pulled his fingers from your heat and gripped the wheel again, his foot pressing down on the gas hard to accelerate the car. you weren’t far from his house, and you silently pleaded not to hit any more red lights, you needed him bad.
joe continued to speed all the way home and quickly whipped his car into the driveway, barely putting it in park before he was jumping out and running over to your side and opening your door. you stepped out too, walking the short distance to the stairs and following him up.
joe quickly unlocked the door and pulled you inside, his hands finding your hips immediately as he pushed your back against the wall in the entryway. he leaned into you and pressed his lips to yours, his tongue immediately sliding into your mouth as his knee slipped between your legs. he moved it up, slightly bumping it against your clit and you whined into his mouth. he pulled back from you and smirked at your already disheveled looks.
you gave him a wide-eyed gaze and he laughed before gesturing down the hallway. “you know where my room is, go ahead. i’ll be there in a sec.”
you furrowed your brow at him before following his command and heading to his room. once inside you slipped off your shoes before sitting gingerly on the edge of his bed, your hands resting on your knees.
he strolled in moments later and your mouth gaped open as you noticed he was already shirtless. “not in the mood for games tonight, i take it?” you asked him, looking him up and down.
“i’m not,” he shrugged, walking over and closing the distance between you. his hands reached around you until the found the zipper of your dress and he pulled it down as far as he could while you were sitting.
you stood from the bed and shrugged it off unceremoniously — you’d been with joe too many times to care about something so trivial. your clothes would end up on the floor each time anyway, so who cared about looking sexy while taking them off?
joe smirked at you and looked you up and down again, appreciating the navy blue lingerie set you had worn underneath your dress.
he slid his finger under the strap of your bra, pulling it forward and letting it go so that it smacked back against your shoulder with a loud pop. “this one’s pretty, baby,” he teased, walking you backwards until your body met the bed again, “too bad it won’t be on much longer.”
joe lifted you and sat you on top of the bed before reconnecting his lips to yours. his hands skillfully undid the clasp of your bra and he tossed it aside before attacking the column of your neck and shoulders with kisses and nips. when his lips finally wrapped around one of your pert nipples your body shuddered, and he laughed.
he used his thumb and forefinger to roll and pinch the nipple that wasn’t in his mouth, leaving you a whiny mess already beneath his touch. your hands tangled into his hair and you pull him off your breast with a loud pop to look him directly in the eyes.
“i’m not in the mood for games either, okay?” you challenged, a weak attempt at letting him know you meant business. he let out another low laugh. you could see he was already rock hard, it was evident by the very large tent in his pants, and you could feel how sticky wet you were with every shift of your panties against your core.
joe knew you wanted it and you were ready, the ball was in his court now. he pulled away from you to shuck off his pants and boxers and you used the opportunity to move up toward the pillows, encasing yourself with his scent as you waited for him to please you.
he crawled on top of you and pressed soft kisses to your stomach as he slid your panties down your legs, adding them to the pile of clothing that was accumulating on his bedroom floor. before he could continue to press any more kisses to your body you grabbed him, hauling him up toward you and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
“no games, please. i need you, i need this. fuck me,” you pleaded… and who would he be to deny you of that? he pressed your legs to your chest and held them there with one arm as his other hand gripped his cock, pumping it a few times before slowly sliding into you. the pleasure was immediate, the feeling of being stuffed full took over your senses as joe pushed all the way into you and rested there.
you barely waited any time before you were scratching your nails down his forearm, signaling for him to move. he started with slow shallow thrusts and you let a few soft moans fall from your lips. joe let go of your legs so you could spread wider for him and pressed his chest to yours.
his hands were now holding a bruising grip on your hips and he dug his fingers into your skin as he began to thrust harder. the room was filled with the sounds of skin slapping and laboured breathing, and soft moans that fell from both of your lips.
joe’s fingers skillfully found your clit again and he began rubbing tight circles into you. your climax was approaching fast but you didn’t care, you knew you’d end up going a few more rounds before the night was over, that’s how it always worked.
joe knew the ins-and-outs of the exchange too, so when you warned him you were close and he said he was too, you knew he wouldn’t bother pulling out to cum. he knew very well that you were on birth control, he’d been in this situation with you far too many times to count.
he continued pistoning his hips into yours and the force kept driving you up the bed, so much so that you had to press a hand to the headboard to keep your head from smacking against it. joe was determined to get you both there quickly and with one more particularly hard thrust you were knocked over the edge, enveloped into toe curling pleasure.
you took deep breaths as joe worked you through it, he came just as you did. both of you were sweaty and needed a moment to catch your breath. he rolled off you quickly and gathered all of your clothes, throwing them into a bin next to his dresser.
you sat up and watched as he trudged toward the door, most likely headed to get some water. you admired your lovely partner’s ass and the way his back muscles rippled as he reached out for the door handle.
“babe?” you called, waiting for his response. your boyfriend then turned to look at you, a mischievous glint in his eye as he answered. “yeah?” he said, laughing as he saw you waddling toward the bathroom.
“next time we do this role-play shit, i’m picking you up from the bar,” you giggle, wiggling your eyebrows at him.
he laughs too, then answers. “better not ever tell me you aren’t coming home with me again, then.”

Tumblr media
♡ ◞ includes: caitlyn, vander, jayce, jinx, mel, viktor, vi.
☆ ◞ summary: how cute ! They decide to take you on a date(character)!
△ ◞ warnings: gn! reader. Pure fluff, and yeah that's it!!.
Tumblr media
Mel Medarda.
Date Spot: A high-end art gallery followed by an exclusive rooftop dinner.
Mel enjoys sophistication and luxury, so she’d choose an art gallery showcasing Piltover’s finest works, followed by a private, candlelit dinner overlooking the city.
---------------------------------------------------
Mel’s hand rests lightly on your arm as you step into the gallery, the warm glow of chandeliers casting a golden light over the polished floors. The air smells faintly of expensive perfumes and freshly polished wood. As you approach a painting, Mel pauses, tilting her head thoughtfully. “This one,” she murmurs, gesturing to a striking abstract piece, “is about the illusion of control. It’s fascinating how it challenges our need for order.”
You can’t help but watch her as she speaks, the passion in her voice drawing you in more than the painting itself. She notices your gaze and arches a brow. “What? Do I have paint on my face?”
You laugh and shake your head. “No, I just like listening to you.”
Her lips curve into a soft smile. “Careful, darling. Flattery like that might make me keep you out all night.”
Later, as the two of you settle into a cozy corner of a rooftop restaurant, the city’s lights twinkling below, she raises her glass to you.
“To beauty,” she says, her voice low and warm, “both the kind we can see, and the kind we feel.” The candlelight dances in her golden eyes, and for a moment, it feels like the rest of the world has faded away.
---------------------------------------------------
Jayce Talis.
Date Spot: A lively Piltover festival.
Jayce loves excitement and fun, so he’d take you to a bustling festival filled with games, food stalls, and music, making sure it’s a night full of laughter.
---------------------------------------------------
The sound of laughter and cheerful music fills the air as Jayce leads you through the vibrant streets of Piltover’s annual festival. The scent of roasted nuts and sweet pastries wafts by, and colorful lanterns hang above, casting a warm glow.
“Alright, pick a game,” Jayce says, grinning down at you. “I’m winning you a prize.”
You point to a ring-toss booth, and he confidently strides up, paying for a few tries. His first attempt misses completely, and you can’t hold back a laugh. “Hey, that was a warm-up!” he protests, grabbing another ring.
After a few more tries (and some playful banter about his aim), he finally lands one, earning a stuffed animal for you. He hands it over with a triumphant smile. “See? Told you I’d win something.”
As the night goes on, the two of you share sugary treats and dance to live music under the lanterns.
When the fireworks start, Jayce pulls you close, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “This is nice,” he says softly, his usual confident demeanor giving way to something more tender. “I should take nights off with you more often.”
---------------------------------------------------
Viktor.
Date Spot: A quiet observatory on the outskirts of Piltover.
Viktor values intimate and meaningful experiences, so he’d take you to an observatory where you could stargaze and talk without distractions.
---------------------------------------------------
The observatory is quiet, perched on a hill overlooking Piltover. Viktor leads you inside, his hand brushing yours briefly before pulling away. “I thought you might like this,” he says, his voice soft. “It’s one of the few places where you can actually see the stars clearly.”
As you step onto the balcony, the night sky stretches out above you, a canvas of glittering stars. Viktor adjusts a telescope, his movements careful and precise. “Come here,” he says, motioning for you to look.
You lean over, and he places a hand on your back, steadying you. Through the lens, you see a cluster of stars glowing brightly. “It’s beautiful,” you whisper, straightening up to look at him.
He smiles faintly, his golden eyes reflecting the starlight. “It reminds me of you,” he says after a pause, his voice quieter now. “Brilliant, even in the darkest places.”
For a moment, you’re both silent, the world around you fading into the stillness of the night. Then, Viktor hesitates before reaching for your hand, his touch tentative but warm. “Thank you for being here,” he murmurs. “It means more than I can put into words.”
---------------------------------------------------
Vi.
Date Spot: A rooftop boxing ring overlooking the Undercity.
Vi would take you somewhere personal to her—a rooftop she knows where you can spar, laugh, and share a moment under the stars.
---------------------------------------------------
“Trust me,” Vi says, a teasing grin on her face as she leads you up a narrow staircase. “You’re gonna love this.”
When you reach the top, you’re greeted by a makeshift boxing ring set up on a rooftop. The view of the Undercity sprawls out below, the dim glow of streetlights casting long shadows.
“You brought me to fight?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.
She laughs, tossing you a pair of gloves. “Not fight. Spar. Big difference.”
The two of you step into the ring, and she takes it easy on you at first, showing you how to throw punches and block. But soon, the playful competition begins, and before long, you’re both laughing too hard to keep going.
As you sit on the edge of the ring, catching your breath, Vi nudges you with her shoulder. “You’re tougher than you look,” she teases, her eyes softening.
“And you’re not as intimidating as you pretend to be,” you shoot back, grinning.
She leans in, her expression turning serious for a moment. “This was nice,” she says quietly. “I don’t let a lot of people in, but... I’m glad I let you.”
The vulnerability in her voice catches you off guard, and you reach over to take her hand. The two of you sit there for a while, the sounds of the Undercity fading into the background as the stars twinkle above.
---------------------------------------------------
Caitlyn Kiramman.
Date Spot: A picnic in the countryside.
Caitlyn prefers thoughtful, intimate moments. She’d plan a private picnic on a grassy hill outside of Piltover, where the two of you could enjoy some quiet time together surrounded by nature.
---------------------------------------------------
The sun is warm, and the breeze carries the faint scent of wildflowers as Caitlyn sets the picnic basket down on the blanket she’s laid out. You watch as she carefully arranges everything—fresh bread, fruit, cheese, and a bottle of wine.
“I know it’s not as exciting as a big event,” she says, glancing at you as she unpacks, “but I thought we could use a little escape from the noise.”
“It’s perfect,” you assure her, settling down beside her.
She smiles, the tension in her shoulders easing as she pours you both a glass of wine. The two of you spend the afternoon sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying the food. At one point, Caitlyn leans back, her hat shading her face from the sun, and looks at you with a rare, relaxed expression.
“You’re good for me, you know,” she says softly. “I spend so much time chasing leads and solving problems... I forget how nice it is to just be.”
You reach over, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “You deserve it, Cait. You work so hard for everyone else.”
Her cheeks flush slightly, but she doesn’t pull away. Instead, she takes your hand in hers, her thumb brushing over your knuckles. “Thank you,” she murmurs, her voice almost a whisper. “For reminding me what’s really important.”
---------------------------------------------------
Jinx.
Date Spot: An abandoned fairground in the Undercity.
Jinx would take you to a forgotten fairground she’s decorated herself with colorful lights and strange contraptions. It’s chaotic, but it’s her way of showing you a piece of her world.
---------------------------------------------------
“Ta-da!” Jinx shouts, throwing her arms wide as you step into the abandoned fairground. Strings of mismatched lights are strung haphazardly between rusting rides, and strange, homemade decorations dangle from the stalls.
“You... did all this?” you ask, looking around in awe.
“Of course!” she says, bouncing on her toes. “You’re always saying I don’t do normal dates, so here it is. Jinx-style.”
She drags you toward an old dart booth, where she’s set up bottles and targets. “Alright, let’s see what you’ve got!” she says, handing you a handful of darts.
After a few rounds of chaotic (and hilarious) attempts at hitting the targets, Jinx pulls you toward the Ferris wheel. It creaks ominously as she climbs inside, patting the seat beside her.
“Don’t worry, it won’t fall,” she says with a mischievous grin. “Probably.”
As the wheel lurches to life, you can’t help but laugh, holding onto the metal bar as the two of you rise above the fairground. The view is a mix of the Undercity’s flickering lights and her makeshift decorations below.
“See?” Jinx says, her voice softer now as she looks out over the scene. “It’s not fancy or perfect, but... it’s ours.”
You glance at her, her usual manic energy replaced with something quieter, almost vulnerable. “I love it,” you say, reaching over to take her hand.
Her cheeks flush slightly, and she looks away, a nervous laugh escaping her. “Good,” she mutters, squeezing your hand tightly. “’Cause you’re stuck with me now.”
---------------------------------------------------
Vander.
Date Spot: A cozy dinner at The Last Drop after hours.
Vander would want to keep things simple and meaningful, opting to cook you dinner in his bar after closing. He’d light a few candles and make sure it’s just the two of you.
---------------------------------------------------
The Last Drop is unusually quiet, the usual crowd of rowdy patrons gone for the night. Vander moves around the bar with practiced ease, a worn apron tied around his waist as he stirs a pot on the stove in the back.
“You didn’t have to go through all this trouble,” you say, leaning on the counter and watching him.
He glances over his shoulder, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “It’s no trouble. You deserve a good meal, and I figured it’s about time I cooked for you.”
The table he’s set up in the corner is simple but thoughtful, with a few candles flickering softly and two plates waiting. When he finally brings the food over—a hearty stew and fresh bread—you can’t help but smile at how much care he’s put into everything.
As you eat, Vander leans back in his chair, watching you with a content expression. “It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to just sit down and enjoy a meal like this,” he admits.
“Well, you should do it more often,” you say, nudging his foot under the table. “You’re always looking out for everyone else. Let someone look out for you for a change.”
He chuckles, reaching across the table to take your hand. “You’re already doing that,” he says quietly. “Just by being here.”
The warmth in his voice makes your chest tighten, and as the two of you sit there, the world outside the bar fades away.

Blood and Teeth
Jason Todd x Reader
You just wanted to get home before dark.
⚠️ Content warning: stalking, attempted mugging, gunshots, non-consensual feeding ⚠️
Tumblr media
God, you'd been doing so well.
The job you work is daylight shift, you're always polite and cordial, you mind your own business, and, most importantly, you don't take anybody else's bullshit.
You go to work, you do your tasks, then you go home. You're always in before the sun sets, and if you aren't, you're cozying into the closest hotel you can find and parking your ass there for the night. Then it's rinse and repeat. Little to no deviation from the routine. It's fine.
You don't look for trouble, is the point.
But it sure did find you.
"No! Nonono — WAIT, STOP! WAIT!"
You sprint as fast as your legs will take you, but it's no use. The bus pulls away from the stop and keeps on going, ten minutes earlier than it should've, and leaves you behind. You groan and resist the urge to throw your bag to the ground.
"God dammit." The next one wouldn't be around for at least an hour and a half, and it would be long dark by then. You didn't have the cash on hand for a cab all the way to downtown Gotham, either. You pull your phone out and check how far the closest hotel is, but that's also downtown.
As far as options go, you can either call your brother and ask him to come get you, or walk as fast as your legs will take you and hope you make it back home unscathed.
You start walking.
"It's fine," you tell yourself, white-knuckling the strap of your messenger bag. "You've made it home after dark before and been completely fine. Nothing's going to happen to you. Everything is great. You could use the exercise, actually. A little leg work does a body good, and you spend most of your time sitting at a desk. Yeah. Yeah! It's like walking on the treadmill..."
The small pep talk helps. Taking large strides, you estimate that you'll make it back home in 45 minutes. That's fine! It's all fine!
Except it isn't fine, because twenty minutes in, you become acutely aware of someone following you about half a block back. You test that by crossing streets at odd places and walking around the perimeter of a liquor store, and he remains on the edge of your periphery the whole time. It's absolutely not fine.
You pull your phone out and dial 9-1-1, picking up the pace. Your heart feels like it's leapt into your throat and you hope against hope he changes his mind and fucks off somewhere else.
"Gotham City Police. Where is the address of the emergency?"
"Uh...I'm currently off the intersection of Cherry and Roman," you explain, looking at the street sign, and give the dispatcher your name. "I'm walking South along Cherry. There's a man following me, about...uh, sixty feet back? I think I'm gonna get jumped, and I missed my bus, and I just wanna get home before dark —"
"Okay, alright," the dispatcher says, voice gentle. "It'll be okay. I've alerted units in your area to come by. The closest one is five minutes out. Stay on the line with me."
"Okay," you mutter. "Thank you. I'm just really scared."
"It'll be okay," the dispatcher repeats. "What does the man look like? Are you able to describe him safely?"
"He's kind of short," you explain. "He's got jeans on and a black coat. I think he's blonde, but I don't wanna look behind me and piss him off..."
"That's fine. You're doing great. They're four minutes out. Just keep walking and talking to me."
"Okay. I'm crossing the street now, still on Cherry... There's a book store that's closed on my right. It's called...um..." You squint. You're not quite close enough to see the sign yet, and before you get the chance to better read the lettering, a hand clasps around your arm and yanks you backwards. You scream, cellphone dropping to the sidewalk, and the man is trying to drag you into an alleyway.
"No!" You cry, beating a fist against his chest. "Stop!! GET OFF ME!"
"Shut the fuck up!" The man snarls. You yank a taser out of your tote bag and press it against his side, shocking him. He shouts in pain and spasms, letting go. You stumble back, scoop up your phone, and take off in a sprint. "Get back here!!"
"Hello!?" You yell into the receiver. "He's chasing me! I'm running but he's chasing me! I need help right now, please!!"
"A unit is two minutes out," the dispatcher replies, sounding tense. "Do you have any means of defending yourself? A weapon? Pepper spray?"
"My taser didn't do shit! I don't have anything else!"
"Keep running. They're hurrying as fast as they can, I promise."
"I'm running! I'm going!!"
You pump your legs as fast as they can possibly carry you, then push them to go even faster than that. You're gasping noisily for breath and there's a stitch developing in your side. Your heart feels like it's going to burst from your chest. But you can't stop, because you can hear him running after you, and if you stop you'll most certainly die.
"Please!" You wheeze into the phone. "I can't — please!"
The sound of sirens reaches your ears and you feel almost weep with relief. You start shouting that you're here, you're right here, hurry the fuck up and get here, but you're grabbed again right as the patrol car rounds the corner.
The stalker hooks an arm around your throat and yanks you to his chest. He presses a gun to your temple and you freeze, ice crawling up and down your spine.
"Drop the weapon!" A cop shouts. Two of them hop out of the vehicle and aim their own guns at the two of you. "Put the gun down and step away from them right now!"
"This doesn't have to go down with anybody getting hurt tonight!" The second officer yells. "Surrender peacefully!"
"Fuck your peace!!" The man that has you screams. The hand holding the gun is shaking as badly as you are, and you hope and pray his finger isn't twitching against that trigger. "Back up or I blow their brains all over the street!"
"Don't!" You choke out. "Don't do that! Please don't do that, I'm just trying to go home please don't —"
"SHUT UP!" He snaps. "EVERYBODY SHUT UP OR I SWEAR I'M GONNA —"
Two gunshots sound. You flinch hard, hands flying up to your head to feel for any bullet wounds, but there's nothing there. The responding officers are sheet-white, looking at you like they've seen a ghost.
No, not at you. Past you.
You don't wanna look. You've lived this long not having to see a dead body and don't intend on breaking that streak. Maybe they hadn't intended to shoot to kill? Is that why they seem to scared? But — no, that doesn't make sense. Because if they shot him, the body is on the ground. Their eyes should be on the ground. Not up as high as they currently are.
They're looking at something else.
"Aw, what's the matter?" Chimes a voice behind you, and you turn just as pale as them.
You don't dare turn around. You don't move. You don't breathe. The exact reason why you're so diligent about getting home before sundown every night is standing about two feet behind you, and you suddenly feel like your odds of survival were better with the stalker.
"Why don't you two go on back to the precinct? I've got it from here."
The police continue to stare behind you for several, long moments. They share a look between each other. They look at you. They step towards their car.
You feel your heart drop to your stomach. Cold sweat forms on the back of your neck and your eyes start to water.
"Don't go," you stammer, shaking your head. "Don't. Don't leave me here. Please don't go —"
"Shhhh..." What feels like a block of ice lands heavily on your shoulder and squeezes tight. So painfully tight. You can't breathe. "Don't listen to 'im. Go on, boys. Get."
The first officer climbs back into the car. The second one hesitates just a moment longer.
"I don't like repeating myself. Go, before I run out of fucking patience."
The second cop disappears back into the car, shutting off the lights, and drives away.
You feel like you're going to throw up. There's nothing protecting you anymore. No one around. Just your ragged breathing to fill the silence and the Red Hood practically pressed against your back.
"You know what's coming next."
The voice is low and distorted by a modulator in the helmet. Every word makes your heart race faster and your vision gets spotty at the edges.
"Hey, hey, hey...easy," he teases, the icey hand on your shoulder moving to cup your jaw. Pressure starts to be applied, urging you to tip your head back and expose your throat to the open air. You sob.
"M'just try-trying t'go ho-home."
"Yeah?" The Red Hood coos. You swear it sounds like he's grinning under that fucking helmet.
"I just wanna go home," you repeat, nearly whispering.
"Heard ya the first time. Quiet, now."
He tips your head back until it won't go any further. Through tears, you blink up at a blood-red helmet, reflecting your terror back at you. The hand at your jaw moves up and covers your eyes, eliminating even the small solace of the street lamps and leaving you in total darkness.
"You don't move. You don't run. You don't pull away from me. You keep these pretty eyes shut nice and tight. Do all that and maybe. Maybe. I let you go home. Say yes if you understand."
Your bottom lip wobbles, teeth practically chattering.
"Y-yes," you whisper.
"Good."
You hear the click of latches coming undone and hear him take the helmet off. You feel his other arm come around your waist, pulling your bodies flush together. You feel his breath against your throat.
Getting bitten by a vampire is a terrible experience. It's nothing like the movies and books tell you at all; no little pinch followed by numbness, no erotic tingling coming from the point of contact, no gentle suction like getting a hickey.
It feels like somebody is stabbing you with a fucking fork and then subsequently trying to suck the skin off your bones. It hurts like nothing else you've ever experienced.
You scream, because he didn't say you weren't allowed to do that, and you cling to the arm around your waist as tight as you possibly can, like it's the only thing grounding you to what's happening because it is. It is.
This is why most of Gotham's businesses are closed by sundown, why most people have shut themselves into their homes and settled in for the evening by now, why you were trying to do the exact same thing before you missed that stupid bus. Because ever since the Red Hood started prowling the streets at night, nobody has wanted to be caught outside with him.
He emerged four years ago with a mission and two rules:
1. If he catches you out at night doing some shit you shouldn't, pray you've gotten your affairs in order before he kills you.
2. If he saves you from someone who was out at night doing some shit they shouldn't, he will take payment from you whether you give it willingly or not.
He does not accept money. He does not accept bribes. He does not leave a debt unpaid.
Gotham's resident vampire takes your blood.

Wow. Way to completely miss the point, guy.
The point is that anyone desperate will do bad things to live, and it's still a tragedy that they die and fail.
The sheep have lived lives too sheltered to imagine ever having anything to fear but someone attacking them out of malice. The dog knows better what it is to be poor. Or an immigrant. Or a hunted minority. He knows he's lucky not to be the wolf, and won't stand for him being treated as a dangerous monster for being born desperate.
Sure is a lot of treating people unlike you as inhuman others who don't deserve sympathy on the ostensible anti-racism website.

On Camera ♡︎ Matt Sturniolo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: ex!matt, reader is a big fat cheater (dont do this), unprotected sex (dont do this either), degrading, being recorded
𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒔: @bernardsbendystraws <3
𝒂/𝒏: this was meant to be a blurb but i got a lil carried away...
Tumblr media
"I know baby..." Matt coos in your ear as he rubs the head of his cock over your slick folds, slowly pushing himself into you. He tilts his head back, a breathy moan leaving his lips, "Fuckk...there you go...takin' me so good...been so long since I had you like this..."
You hadn't meant to end up at your ex's house that night. You were perfectly happy in your relationship. At least you pretended to be. You guys had been together for a few months, and you were really trying to make it work, trying to move on from the trainwreck that was your relationship with Matt. But, he was just so...boring.
He was a great guy. He was kind, intelligent, loving, attractive. He brought you flowers to work every week, always took you out on dates. He was always there for you whenever and wherever you needed him. He was the complete opposite of Matt, which, in all honesty, was what you needed. He was, in all aspects, the perfect guy.
And yet, you still weren't satisfied.
Deep down, you missed it. You missed Matt. You craved the toxicity, the arguments that led to rough and passionate sex. You missed his words, the way he'd call you the prettiest thing he'd ever seen after wiping the salty tears off your cheeks, the tears that he caused. You missed the late night drives in his car, listening to music while your hair blew everywhere from the rough windows pouring through the window, the two of you not caring about anything but each other.
No matter how desperate you were to change, to break the cycle, it was always the same. You'd break up, only being able to go no-contact for a few months before running back into each other's arms. Matt would appear at your doorstep with flowers in hand, begging for your forgiveness. Sometimes you'd do the begging, drunkenly dialing his number after a night out.
Tonight was one of those nights.
"S'all you needed huh? Just needed—shiit—needed me to fuck you?" Matt groans, squeezing your hips with a tight grip, your ass bouncing off his pelvis as his thrusts begin to get rough. "I know you did...Pussy missed me so much...Squeezin' me so tight..."
You try to reply with a witty remark, but all that escapes your mouth is a loud moan as you bury your face in the pillow.
Matt smirks, grabbing your phone off of the nightstand, fumbling to hit the record button.
"Look at me," he points the flash towards your face, gripping your hair tightly. "So pretty like this. Lookin' all dumb...All from my dick..." He points the camera down to your ass, his hands shaky as he watches you through the phone, his cock disappearing and reappearing into your tight cunt. The loud noise of skin slapping against each other was only rivaled by your even louder moans and whines.
"Tell me how much you love it," he laughs, the flash reflecting off the beads of sweat rolling down your back. "Tell me how much y'love this dick."
You look back at Matt, arching your back until he hits that perfect spot, making your eyes roll back and your toes curl. "I love it!" You cry out, the words barely audible through your broken moans. "Love it so much...making m'feel so good."
He grins wickedly, watching your mind turn to mush over his cock. "Good girl. All y'wanna do is get fucked like a lil' slut, yeah? My—little—slut." He pants in between thrusts.
You nod furiously, gripping the sheets even tigher until your knuckles turned white. "Yes!" You moan. "Need you so bad, Matty...All I want is you...All I need is you...Don't stop...Please don't stop..." You babble as Matt fucks you deeper, his balls bumping against your clit at a rapid pace.
"M'not gonna stop, baby," he says, his thrusts getting faster and more erratic as he feels himself getting closer. "M'not gonna stop...'til I fill this pretty pussy up..."
You barely register his filthy words, your senses only focused on your release, only focused on feeling of his cock pumping in and out of you.
"Y'want it? Huh?" He asks, pointing the camera towards your face buried in the pillow, barely muffling the obscene noises coming from your mouth. "Want me to breed this pussy? Make you all mine?"
A muted "mhm" escapes your lips as you nod your head, before Matt pulls your face out of the pillows by your hair.
"Say it...Wanna hear you say it f'me...Tell me what you want..."
You look up at Matt, your eyes feeling heavy as you drool down your chin, "Yes!" You shout. "I want it! Want you to breed this pussy! Make me yours. Please...please...please...I need it...More than anything..."
Your vision goes white, the coil in your tummy finally snapping as you collapse on the bed, your orgasm hitting you like a train. A drawn out, borderline pornographic, moan comes from your throat, as Matt reaches his own orgasm.
The feeling of your walls clenching around his dick draws a moan out of his throat, his cock twitching as ribbons of cum coat your walls. "Fuckkk yes baby...Take it...Take it all...Gonna make this pussy all mine..." He groans, his thrusts slowing as he fucks the white liquid into you.
As he pulls out, he watches his seed, leak out of your pussy onto the bedsheets, making sure the view is perfectly shown on camera.
"Look at that..." he sighs. "Made you such a mess...all full of me."
You nod, catching your breath, looking behind you, watching him film the encounter. He points the phone at you, and you wave innocently, blowing him a kiss, as the video ends.
Sent.

Another Chance (Dabi x reader)
a/n: grrrr all I can think about is Touya I just love him so so much!!! His ending and the entire LOV's endings still have me so :( and I've been imagining what it would look like if they all survived the war and got to live. Which led me to write up this fic where the reader was dating Dabi pre-war and didn't know he survived until Shoto sought you out and allow y'all to reunite!!! There's a hint of angst but overall it's very cutey because Touya deserves all the love!!!
wc: 1017
Tumblr media
"I've killed over 30 innocent civilians. The firstborn of the Todoroki family. I am going to tell you all why I committed these heinous crimes."
Despite the words leaving the villain's mouth, you couldn't help but smile softly as you rewatched Dabi's reveal video for the fifth time. Work was slow and you were missing him a little more than usual today. Besides, it really was all you had left of him.
It had been almost three months since the war between heroes and villains went down, completely changing the world you once knew. This meant it was coming up on three months since you last saw your lover. Since the night he broke up with you, saying his time in this world was up and you should move forward. Without him.
"Excuse me," a young man says as he approaches the front desk you're seated behind. His voice snaps you out of your spiraling heartbroken thoughts. You take a deep breath, pulling yourself together and throwing on your customer service face. "Are you ______?"
"I am. How can I help you today?"
"My name is Shoto Todoroki." Your stomach drops. "Do you have a minute to talk?"
-----------------------------
For the first time in months, the week flew by. Today was finally the day you were going to reunited with Dabi. As excited as you were, anxiety was growing more and more inside your head. What if he didn't actually want to see you? What if you only make things harder for him? He was already suffering so much, maybe it would be better if you just went home and never came back and-
"He's going to be happy to see you." Shoto smiles as he places a hand on your shakey shoulder, breaking silence in the waiting room where you sat with his siblings and mother, all waiting for Touya to wake up from his nap.
"Yeah the idiot has been saying your name like every other day," Natsuo chimes in with a wide grin. "Still can't believe out of all his secrets, he had a gorgeous partner this whole time. You sure you're not some spy or something?" Fuyumi slaps his shoulder, shooting you an apologetic look before the two bicker. You chuckle at the sight, feeling your anxiety go down. You never imagined Dabi would have come from such a lively family.
"He's awake," a nurse approaches your group. You stand up with his siblings, Rei smiling softly at everyone before you all walk into his hospital room.
"Touya-nii," Shoto is the first to speak upon entering the room. "You have a guest."
"Yeah well fuck off," he grumbles, closing his eyes again despite just waking up.
"Well you heard him ______, guess we should head then," Natsuo teased loudly. Touya's eyes widen at hearing this, sitting up on the bed as his eyes scanned the room, landing on you with a shocked expression.
"________?" he asked in disbelief that you were standing here in front of him. Fuyumi and Natsuo snicker hearing his heart monitor rapidly beat, causing Touya to throw up a middle finger their way before returning his focus on you. You stood awkwardly as he sat awkwardly, unsure what to do next.
"Let's give them some privacy, yeah?" Fuyumi grabs Shoto and Natsuo before heading out the room, closing the door behind her. The silence persists until you speak up.
"Is it okay if I sit?" you ask, pointing to a spot on the large hospital bed. The size of the bed and private room must be a perk that comes with the Number One Hero's money paying for your medical bills. He nods, shakey bandaged hands smoothing out the bedsheets before you take a seat with him. "So Dabi-"
"Touya," he cuts you off. "You can call me Touya. At this point Dabi is gone." He sounded so nervous as he spoke it made your heart ache.
"Okay," you respond. "So Touya," you giggle upon hearing his heart rate monitor speed up again after saying his name. You take a shakey deep breath, collecting your thoughts. There was so much you wanted to say to him. You wanted to yell at him for leaving you. You wanted to cry, thanking the heavens and earth he was still alive. You wanted to make him promise he'd never do this to you again. Yet every time you went to open your mouth, no words would leave. Touya took notice to the conflicting emotions on your face each time you went to speak, the heavy weight of guilt tugging at his heart.
"I-I'm so sorry....." his words were quiet and it sounded like he was about to cry. He doesn't expect you to forgive me. Hell, he wouldn't be surprised if you didn't love him anymore. His heart sank as he heard muffled sobs leaving your mouth. He couldn't look at you.
"Can we start over?" you smile as he finally meets your teary eyes. His bandaged hand reaches to cup your face, thumb rubbing away the tears that have fallen from your eyes. He felt didn't deserve another chance at life like this, but god he wanted it more than anything. This time it wasn't because of hatred or spite. No he wanted to live out of love. Out of love for his siblings. For his mother. For you. Especially for you.
"Yeah, I'd like that," his voice is shakey as he speaks. He feels insanely nervous as he asks his next question, as if it's the first time he's ever asked you this. "C-can I kiss you?"
"Please." You don't care how desperate you sound in your answer. You needed him to know how you've been longing for him all this time, how he hadn't left your thoughts once since the last night you saw him. He pulls you into a sweet, gentle kiss. His lips are more burnt than the last time you shared a kiss, but it doesn't matter. He still tastes the same. He's still the same man you love. And this time, neither of you were going to let the other get away.

A Knight second chance 13
Qrow: *cocking one eyebrow after watching the video of Jaune and Glynda's spar* What the hell was that, kid? Didn't you say you wanted to stay low profile?
Jaune: That was the plan at first, but i'm realizing that if i want everyone to survive, they need to step up their game. And i've got something to distract both Ozpin and Ironwood.
Qrow: *pensive* I see... *Point to Roman* Is this why that weasel sitting next to you, too?
Roman: *smirk* Qrow, nice seeing you again. How's your love life going?
Qrow: *smirk back* I dunno, how was it to be beaten by my niece?
Jaune: You know each other?
Roman: *leaning back in his chair* We went to Beacon together. *Sigh* His sister was a complete psychopath-
Qrow: *Grinning* You stole her sword during your first spare against her, of course she would beat the shit out of you.
Roman: *shrug* It was funny at the time.
Qrow: *chuckle* True that!
Jaune: ... *Shake his head, refocusing on why he gathered them here* In any case, Roman, you got the information we need against Lionheart?
Roman: *placing the documents on the table* All there. He wasn't the best at erasing his trace. *Sigh* 25 mission reclassified as low danger, given to inexperienced huntsmen teams.
Qrow: *picking up the document* For fuck sake... More than 200 huntsmen were killed, how did we not see that?
Roman: Mistral is the kingdom of crime. Falsifying documents was as easy as it gets for him.
Jaune: *looking at his scroll* Welp, i gotta go.
Qrow: *frown* Why's that?
Jaune: *sigh* Miss Glynda, psychiatrist extraordinaire, is asking for immediate attendance.
Qrow: *wince* That little bout with your friend is really biting your ass, huh?
Jaune: *groan* You have no idea. *Leave*
_ _ _
At the end of the appointment
Jaune: *perplexed* Something is weird happening with Penny?
Glynda: *picking up some papers* Miss Polendina has recently been suffering from multiple nightmares. *looking at the documents* Weirdly enough, she keeps saying something about there being "Nothing" and- *looking back at Jaune who is glowing faintly* Jaune?
Jaune: *mumbling* Nothing... Nothing happened...
Glynda: *worried* Jaune, what's wrong?
Jaune: *grabbing his head* What did i do wrong!? Why was i left behind?! Because i didn't follow a script?!? *The glow starts to intensify* I just wanted to get back! I- *feel Glynda sit next to him* ... *Hug her, crying*
_ _ _
Ozpin: *looking up with a smile, as Glynda entered his Office* Ah, Glynda, did- *sees her eyes, red from crying* ... *Sigh* Was it-
Glynda: *shaking her head* Worse. *Sitting on a chair* It was so much worse than anything we might have expected...
Ozpin: *worried* What-
Glynda: *trembling* Nothing happened...
Ozpin: *perplexed* What do you mean?
Glynda: ... Their was no knight to save the day, no cat to show you the way and no trees that could help you change for the better... A story that was never written... A destiny that can never be... *Shake her head* No wonder we never found that book, it never existed in the first place...

It's okay armand you're winning you're doing what your loser pederast groomer vampire dad wanted be proud the red pillers are gonna completely miss the point that Akasha is a metaphor for fate and how it betrays people by repeating the same stories over and over and just say that all vampires have to be misogynists now because they don't understand that vampires can lie and then you will live happily ever after in your weird little island with your weird little boyfriend and your weird little metaphor for the idea that wanting to be famous is evil because God forbid women do anything in the form of some kids who you pretended to help and the whole cycle of boring bitch Christianity will go on. The evil lesbians who wanted to build something bright and loving for themselves when they were lied to and rejected and humiliated are gone. They can't hurt you anymore and you can play the victim forever until the air bends around your face and makes your curls even more fetchingly frame your eyes and your lips.
Never fear. The revolution has been betrayed. All the revolutions will be betrayed. You can go back to sleep until the next time people almost live without fear. The Satanic Panic was contained but now it lives in your limpid tangerine eyes and falls like an accusers tears.

I've started a Little Women inspired Azriel x Archeron!reader, if anyone is interested. This is my first time posting on Tumblr, so let me know if I'm missing something. I would love to hear your thoughts!
_____________________________________________________________
After abruptly putting down your pencil, you scrutinize the man lazing across from you.  As your sketch lies abandoned in your lap, you notice that his hair is slightly mused.  Likely due to the autumn wind that signified summer slipping away.
“When are you going back?”  You finally ask as worry begins to work its way into your chest.  You quickly shove it back down.
“Soon,” Azriel replies simply, and you can’t seem to stop the exasperated sigh that slips out.
“You’ve been saying the same variation of that for the past month, Az.  I’m not sure if ‘soon’ qualifies as an answer at this point.”
“Short answers keep me from saying the wrong thing.”
“Rhys has been expecting you for weeks.  Why not just go and save yourself  the trouble?”
“Perhaps I’m looking for trouble,” he offers while quirking an eyebrow.  Despite the slight smile creeping its way onto his face, his eyes are assessing.  You find yourself playing with the picnic basket in between both of you and glance down at the drawing in your lap.
“You are the trouble,” you reply blandly.
“I would only cause issues if I went.”  His words seem to linger in the air and seconds pass before Azriel decides to continue, “I’d be a burden.”  The last words come out raw, as if they had caught on a wound that had not been given proper time to heal.
“You’re not a burden,” you reply firmly before you even realize what you were saying.  And you subconsciously shift closer to him on the blanket.
“Then I suppose I should stay here and not burden you for a little while longer.”  You bite down on your lip to stop an unlady-like grin from lighting up your face. If your mother could see you now.  As a cooling shadow snakes its way up your arm, it is almost indistinguishable from the charcoal smeared along your skin.  Promptly, you take a moment to wipe off the charcoal enveloping your hands onto your dress- completely staining the pristine cerulean fabric.
Azriel leans forward and brushes a strand of hair behind your ear.  His hand lingering for a moment longer than necessary before he speaks again.
“Honestly, I’m beginning to think that you enjoy my company,” Azriel adds.  You feel your eyes widen slightly at the comment and shift away from him.  As your eyes flicker across his face while you quickly distract yourself by picking up your sketch and getting back to work.
“What are you doing?”  You ask, suddenly, not bothering to look up as a wave of annoyance flares up in you.
“Looking at you.”
“No, I mean what are you doing?”  You ask again and try to push down the bubbling anger that was threatening to rise to the surface.  Your brows furrow as you add, “You can’t avoid them forever.  They’re your family.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“This isn’t about what I want, Az.” You bite back.  Then, taking a long pause to rub your temples soothingly at the aching pain before continuing, “But you should go home.  Work.  Do something with yourself.”
“I thought you said you weren’t going to tell me what to do,” he responds.  Azriel’s face was more guarded than before.  More conflicted too, if you were to wager a guess.
“I never said that.  I said this isn’t about what I want.”  You answer as a wave of guilt begins to build.  Were you too harsh?  Your eyes lock as you study each other and the air around you begins to grow tense.
“Here.”  You say, breaking the silence, and hold out your sketch to him.

Never realized how literally the lyrics "Shot at the sun with a gun" would be taken literally until I got onto Tumblr.
The first time I tried explaining CCCC I had leaned towards the metaphor part of it. Aka overwhelming emotions shutting down someone's rationale, or something of the like. But at the time, all it meant to me was "the metaphorical version".
Considering Heart and Mind are separate personas (this is obvious), it works both literally and metaphorically. I just wonder if perhaps I - or anyone, really - miss the point of the lyric because we take it so literally. Fanon goes: Heart shoots at Mind. Personally, it was premeditated, I mean he dug a grave for fuck's sake.
I guess what I'm wondering is this: What would the metaphorical version be of Ruler of Everything?
"Juno was mad, he knew he'd been had, so he shot at the sun with a gun." Simplistically, Heart gets mad at Mind and tries to shut him down. Why? He's been had. And what, in this scenario, would "being had" imply? Being tricked or deceived, according to every website I scanned over.
"Well, listen to this, he shot and he missed, and so Juno got what he deserved." Whatever case Heart tried to make wasn't good enough, so the argument was turned back, with Mind being the one shutting him down instead.
"Imprisonment was all that he earned. So let's stop on in and see if he learned a goddamn thing." Obviously, imprisonment refers to apathy. Indifference. Heart learned that it's easier to simply not care than it is to try and fight with Mind because Mind is the ruler of everything. And then the rest of the song is Mind clowning on Heart for thinking he could win an argument, pretty much. "Do you hear the flibbity-jibber-jabber?" This is complete nonsense. Because that's what Mind hears from Heart: nonsense.
In short: Ruler of Everything is just the argument. The BIG one. The straw that breaks the camel's back. An argument that Heart tried so hard to win, and yet still couldn't. An argument where Heart learned that indifference is easier to deal with than caring. And another win for Mind.

Hey can I please request a Lloyd x reader where she is his ex-wife but he wants her back? Maybe they have a child together (they're the only people who he is really sweet and soft with, he lights up when he sees them) and idk maybe their child wants them together too? He's trying to find excuses to see her or kiss her and he has their child as a support?
Idk whatever you find interesting or have inspo for ❤️
Tumblr media
Thank you for this amazing ask. I hope you like it. Warning- Little angst and fluff.
Your hands tremble slightly as you pack your son's backpack for his weekend with Lloyd. It’s a routine exchange, one you've done countless times since the divorce, but the familiar ache always lingers.
Sharing custody of Victor is always a bittersweet affair. Every time you see him, the resemblance to his father becomes more and more apparent. His bright eyes and mischievous smile are like a living reminder of what you once had together. Yet, despite the pang in your heart, you push your feelings aside, knowing that this arrangement is for the best.
The doorbell rings, and you exhale deeply before opening it.
Lloyd stands before you, immaculate in his polo shirt and with that same cocky smirk you've come to know all too well. Despite your best efforts, your pulse quickens at the sight of him, a reaction you've tried to suppress but have never been able to completely control.
Damn that moustache! Always been your weakness.
You fix your expression, forcing a neutral smile as you step aside to let him in. You're used to this routine by now, but the sight of him still dredges up a mix of emotions you'd rather keep bottled up.
“Ready for our little guy?” he asks, his voice annoyingly smooth, like melted chocolate. Victor bolts past you, yelling, “Daddy!” as Lloyd scoops him up effortlessly, peppering his son's face with exaggerated kisses that make the boy squeal with laughter.
When your son was born, Lloyd had named him Victor, saying he's his biggest victory in life.
You force a polite smile, ignoring the way Lloyd's eyes flick to yours, softening. He always looks at you like that, like you're still the most important thing in his world, even after everything.
After Sierra Six.
The memory burns like acid. Sierra Six had been your breaking point. Lloyd's obsession with catching the rogue operative consumed him, pulling him deeper into his dangerous world and further away from you. You had begged him to walk away, to prioritize his family, but he couldn’t let it go.
“You don't understand, Sugar!” he'd said during one of your final arguments, his voice sharp but his eyes pleading. “This isn't just a mission. It's personal.”
It became personal for you too, when Six's retaliation nearly cost you and Victor your lives. A car bomb meant for Lloyd had detonated outside your home, leaving shards of glass and smoke as a grim reminder of the risk you couldn’t live with anymore. You’d left that night, taking Victor with you, and filed for divorce shortly after.
“Thanks for packing his stuff…” Lloyd says now, breaking you out of your thoughts. He hesitates, then adds, “You could come with us, you know? We're just going to the park.”
“That’s your time with him…” you reply, keeping your tone neutral.
Victor tugs at your sleeve. “But, Mommy, you should come! Daddy says he misses you.”
Your breath catches, and Lloyd clears his throat, awkwardly running a hand through his perfectly styled hair. “Victor, buddy, why don't you go grab your soccer ball from the car?”
Once Victor bounds away, Lloyd steps closer. “He’s not wrong…” he says softly, his gaze holding yours.
“Lloyd…” You start to protest, but he cuts you off.
“I know I screwed up. I know I didn’t protect you the way I should have, but I’m trying, Sugar. I’m trying to fix things. For you. For Victor. For us.”
You cross your arms, a shield against the vulnerability in his voice. “You can’t just say these things and expect everything to magically go back to how it was.”
“Then let me show you...” he says, taking another step closer. His hand brushes yours, testing waters. “Let me prove it to you.”
Before you can respond, Victor runs back, his soccer ball in hand. “I got it! Mommy, are you coming with us?”
Lloyd kneels down, pulling Victor into a side hug. “Tell you what, buddy. Why don’t we see if we can convince Mommy to join us next time, huh?”
Victor pouts dramatically, his big eyes, the same shade of blue as his father’s turns on you, “Please, Mommy? Daddy says families should stick together.”
Your heart squeezes at the sight of them, your two boys. Lloyd stands, his eyes never leaving yours, and he leans down just slightly, so close you can feel the warmth of his breath.
“Think about it…” he murmurs, before pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. It lingers, a promise in its tenderness, and leaves you standing there, your resolve crumbling ever so slightly.
As they walk away, Victor waves enthusiastically, and Lloyd throws you a smile over his shoulder. It’s cocky and hopeful all at once, like he knows the kiss wasn’t just for show.
Maybe, just maybe, he’ll find a way to win you back.
The weekend passes slowly without Victor. You spend the quiet hours tidying up, trying to distract yourself from the lingering thoughts of Lloyd’s kiss and the words he left unspoken. But no matter how hard you try, you can’t stop replaying his plea, “Let me prove it to you.”
On Sunday evening, Lloyd drops Victor off as planned. Your son runs inside, chattering about their adventures at the park, the ice cream truck they chased down, and how Daddy let him drive his tiny remote-controlled car.
Lloyd lingers at the door.
“Can I come in for a minute?” he asks. His tone is careful, cautious, as though he’s testing the waters.
You hesitate, but something about the vulnerability in his expression makes you step aside. “Just for a minute…” you say.
Victor is already in the living room, playing with his toys, oblivious to the quiet tension between you and his father.
Lloyd takes a deep breath, his hands stuffed into his pockets. “I’ve been thinking about what you said the other day. About things not magically going back to how they were.” He pauses, his gaze locking onto yours. “You’re right. They won’t. And they shouldn’t. Because I want things to be better than they were before.”
You swallow hard, your heart beating faster, “Lloyd, I…”
“Let me finish, Sugar.” His voice softens, and he steps closer, closing the distance between you. “I’m not asking you to forgive me overnight. I’m not asking you to forget what I did or the pain I caused. I just… I’m asking for a chance to show you that I’ve changed. That I’m trying to be the man you and Victor deserve.”
Tears prick at the corners of your eyes, but you hold them back. “You think one kiss and a few sweet words will fix everything?”
“No!” he says firmly. “But I think being here, every day, showing you how much I care… that might. I’m not giving up on us, Sugar. Not now, not ever.”
Before you can respond, Victor runs up to the two of you, holding a drawing in his little hands. “Look! I made this at Daddy’s house!”
The picture is messy but a clear stick-figure family of three, all holding hands. Above it, in Victor’s uneven handwriting, are the words, “My family.”
Your chest tightens, and you glance at Lloyd, whose eyes are filled with unshed tears. He kneels down to Victor’s level, gently ruffling his hair. “That’s a beautiful drawing, buddy.”
Victor grins and turns to you. “Mommy, don’t you think we should be a family again? Daddy’s been so sad without you.”
You look down at your son, then at Lloyd, who is watching you with a mixture of hope and fear.
“I don’t know, Victor,” you say softly. “It’s… complicated.”
“But you love Daddy, right?” Victor asks innocently, his big blue eyes staring up at you.
You hesitate, the truth sitting heavy on your tongue. “Yes…” you finally admit. “I do.”
Lloyd stands, his expression unreadable. “Sugar, I know I’ve made mistakes. And I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for them if you’ll let me.”
Victor tugs on your hand, his face lighting up with excitement. “Please, Mommy? Let Daddy stay.”
The weight of the moment presses down on you. Slowly, you nod, your voice barely above a whisper. “Okay. Let’s see where this goes.”
Lloyd’s eyes widen in surprise, and then a rare, genuine smile spreads across his face. “You mean it?”
“Yes,” you say, a small smile tugging at your lips. “But you’re on thin ice, Hansen.”
He chuckles, his confidence returning. “I wouldn’t have it any other way, Sugar.”
Victor cheers, throwing his arms around both of you, and for the first time in a long time, you feel a flicker of hope.
Maybe, just maybe, you can be a family again.
The days that follow are a whirlwind of emotions. Lloyd takes your cautious ‘okay’ as a challenge to prove himself, and he doesn’t waste any time.
He starts small, picking Victor up from school, helping him with homework, and showing up at your door with dinner. Each time he’s around, you find yourself torn between wanting to push him away and feeling your walls crumble a little more.
One evening, as you’re washing dishes, Lloyd appears beside you, drying a plate you hadn’t asked him to touch. “You know,” he says, his voice low and teasing, “we make a pretty good team.”
“Lloyd, I don’t need your help.” you say, trying to focus on the sink.
He leans in closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “You might not need it, but I like being here. With you.”
Your face heats up, and you elbow him gently. “Back off, Hansen.”
But instead of retreating, he grins and presses a kiss to your temple, quick and soft. You whirl on him, glaring. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Testing my limits,” he replies smugly, holding up his hands as if in surrender. “You’re adorable when you’re mad.”
You roll your eyes, but the blush on your cheeks betrays you. He notices, of course, and his grin only grows wider.
Lloyd’s efforts intensifies over the period.
Over the next few weeks, Lloyd becomes a constant presence in your life. He shows up unannounced with groceries, fixes the broken cabinet in your kitchen, and even surprises Victor with a mini soccer goal for the backyard.
One afternoon, while Victor is napping, you find yourself sitting on the porch with Lloyd. He’s unusually quiet, his gaze fixed on the horizon.
“Why are you doing all this?” you ask, breaking the silence.
He looks at you, his expression sincere. “Because I lost you once, Sugar. And I’m not making that mistake again. You and Victor… you’re everything to me.”
The raw honesty in his voice leaves you speechless. Before you can think of a response, he leans in, brushing his lips against yours. It’s soft, tentative, as if he’s giving you a chance to pull away. But you don’t.
When he deepens the kiss, his hand rests gently on your cheek, you lose yourself for a moment, the familiar warmth of him overwhelming your senses.
When you finally pull back, your heart is racing. “You’re impossible…” you mutter, your cheeks burning.
“And you’re beautiful,” he replies, his lips quirking into a lopsided smile.
Despite your reluctance to admit it, Lloyd’s persistence begins to wear down your defenses. He’s patient with Victor, kind to you, and relentless in his mission to win you back.
One night, as you’re tucking Victor into bed, he grabs your hand. “Mommy, do you still love Daddy?”
Caught off guard, you glance at Lloyd, who’s standing in the doorway, watching you with an unreadable expression.
“I…” you start, unsure of how to answer.
“I know you do,” Victor says confidently. “Because you smile more when he’s here.”
Lloyd chuckles softly, stepping into the room. “Our kid is a great observer, you can’t hide anything from him.” he teases.
“Go to sleep, Victor…” you say quickly, pressing a kiss to your son’s forehead before retreating to the living room.
Lloyd follows you, closing the door behind him. “He’s not wrong, you know,” he says quietly.
You sigh, turning to face him. “Lloyd, this isn’t easy for me. You broke my trust…”
“And I’ll spend the rest of my life earning it back!” he interrupts, stepping closer. “You’re the only woman I’ve ever loved, and I’ll fight for you every day if that’s what it takes.”
Tears well up in your eyes as you finally let the weight of his words sink in. “I’m scared…” you admit, your voice barely above a whisper.
“I know,” he whispers, cupping your face in his hands. “But I’m here, Sugar. I’m not going anywhere.”
The next morning, you wake up to the smell of pancakes. Victor’s laughter echoes from the kitchen, and when you walk in, you see Lloyd standing at the stove, flipping pancakes like he’s been doing it for years.
“Morning, Sugar,” he says, flashing you a boyish grin. “Thought I’d make breakfast for my family.”
You shake your head, but there’s no hiding the smile on your face.
Later that day, as the three of you play soccer in the backyard, Victor pauses and looks up at you. “Does this mean Daddy’s staying forever?”
You glance at Lloyd, who’s watching you with hopeful eyes. Slowly, you nod. “Yeah, buddy... I think it does.”
Victor cheers, throwing his arms around both of you. Lloyd pulls you close, pressing a kiss to your hair.
“I love you…” he murmurs, his voice thick with emotion.
And for the first time in a long time, you let yourself believe that maybe, just maybe, you could have your happy ending after all.

So I had another idea that I wanna share, btw I still know barely anything about either fandom and am going off fanfics for info. Also I'm really tired rn so don't expect everything to make sense.
After a nasty accident the portal blew up with the explosion being so big it would've destroyed the entire planet and Ghost Zone if Danny hadn't managed to absorb the majority of the blast, but with how much power it had been Danny wasn't able to completely stop the destruction and was sent into a centuries long coma to heal with Clockwork and Frostbite putting the energy (both his and everything he was able to absorb from the blast) into a large pearl-like object and storing it into some ancient ruins to help protect him. But despite having taken so much of the force humanity was pretty much given a hard reset in advancements and created metas.
Now, centuries later, the JL hear of a villain (idk who) having pinpointed the location of an extremely dangerous magic artifact that could send everything back by centuries if not outright destroy the planet and obviously go to stop them, with a 10 year old Damien who is determined to become Robin managing to catch a ride and sneak along with them. Somehow Damien ends up in a position where he's between the villain and the artifact and is severely hurt, but he refuses to give up and the fighting makes a ruckus, enough of a ruckus that Danny wakes up.
Danny, who has absorbed all of the energy into is own being and now looks like some sort of animal-like creature, wakes up to see an adult hurting a kid so badly it looks like their gonna kill him and immediately goes into hero mode to save the child. Thanks to pretty much having the power of several Tsar Bombs now, easily finishes the fight and quickly starts panicking over the small injured child and does his best to use his powers to heal the kid whose barely even conscious.
At some point of Danny's frantic mother-hen-ing one of the JL members, who is also really injured, manages to get to the room to stop the villain only to find the villain unconscious, what looks to be a brand new Robin barely conscious, the artifact missing, and some sort of monster that looks to be made of space, shadows, and ice panicking over the small child and quickly getting protective once noticing the other person and putting itself between the JL member and the hurt kid to protect him, seemingly shape-shifting to appear more dangerous.
After somehow calming the thing down (which was pretty difficult due to a language barrier) the JL and JLD come to the conclusion that somehow the magic artifact must've reacted to Damien and bonded with him since it's refusing to leave his side.
Danny on the other hand thinks he's been out for maybe a month max and was transported to a different universe thanks to the existence of powers, superheroes, and the very prominent language barrier between them. He just hopes that this strangely stabby child calms down soon so he can find his way into the Ghost Zone so he can return to his family and haunt.

Tumblr media
Your window is unlocked. Of course it is. It gives way under his gentle push until he’s able to creep through, the cool night breeze following him in and rustling your light drapes.
The slow, steady breaths that fill the room tell him you’re asleep, long lost to dreams with absolutely no awareness that he lurks in the shadows of your bedroom and his heart beats harder, thrumming strongly within his chest until he feels the heavy pulse of it in his head. He follows the breaths, chases the familiar scent of you until he can feel you close, the heat of your body stinging at his skin.
The mattress gives way under his knees and his hands reach to seek you out, following the form of your legs underneath the blankets until he feels the edge of them tucked loosely around your waist. He pulls at them softly, listening to the slide of cotton drag over your body until you’re bared to the room and he’s able to feel you properly.
Gloves run over bare skin and he can’t help the smirk that tugs at his lips. Did you anticipate his arrival? Did you sink into your pillows and think about this very moment? Did you work yourself up thinking about the heat of his mouth?
He hardens to the point of pain at the thought.
His hands part your thighs easily, careful not to jostle you as he settles onto his stomach and makes himself at home between your legs—his favourite place to be. You barely move, so deep in a slumber he doubts you’d notice much of anything at this point.
The smooth surface of his helmet rests against the heat of your thigh as he takes a moment to breathe you in, letting the scent of your pussy settle heavy on his tongue until the vicious tug of his appetite can’t take it for a second longer.
It’s been too damn long. He’ll ask for forgiveness later.
He’s soft about it.
There’s no rush—he has the rest of the night and he’s not moving until he’s sure he’ll have the taste of you clinging to his skin for the rest of the day.
His tongue drags leisurely over you, feeling the gentle parting of your folds under muscle until the sweet tang of your arousal sinks richly into his taste buds and he has to harshly fist the sheets to keep from groaning.
This is what he needs.
He finds your clit, softly circling it over and over until your scent in the room thickens and it’s all he knows, all he can breathe. He moves to lap at the wetness gathering at your entrance, unable to resist pressing impossibly closer to you, licking deeply, hungrily into your cunt until you’re flooding his tongue and smearing across his chin.
You’ll soon feel the burn of his stubble as he works you over more and more.
He goes back and forth, taking his time building your arousal up by lavishing your clit with soft laps and gentle strokes before practically drinking from you, tongue prodding and dragging against the slick walls of your pussy. He’s lost track of time, oblivious to anything and everything beyond this room, beyond you, by the time you begin to stir.
Your heart flutters, your breath catches and then you’re seeking him out, a hand soon meeting one of the sharp points of his helmet before your fingers stretch over the chilled back of it. You’re almost there—he can feel it, hear it, taste it.
He keeps his pace steady, feeling no need to rush you to the finish line as his tongue swirls and circles and flattens over your clit again and again.
A sleepy moan of his name falls from your lips when you reach your peak and he can’t help but rut into the firm mattress as you flood his tongue, the muscles in your thighs jumping and jerking beneath his hold.
“Shh,” he coos quietly against you when you start to pull away from his mouth, cunt sensitive and overworked. He's not done, not yet. “Let me enjoy you, sweetheart. I need it, please.”

You are amazing ✨✨✨
Do you have any feral Derek fic recs?? Especially if he’s stuck as a wolf?? Bonus points if Stiles thinks he’s just a big friendly dog 🥹
Hi, love! Thank uuu! I absolutely love feral wolf Derek, it always delivers. Here's a very long rec list, enjoy!
Waiting by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
Not wanting to think on it too much, Stiles took a step forward and passed his hand between the bars, moving the bleeding side closer to Derek’s mouth. “Not too close, he bites.” Stiles snatched his hand away just as Derek had been about to lick at it. The snarl he got in response was not comforting. “He what?” Stiles asked nervously, turning to Deaton. The man looked a little amused. “Don’t worry, only if he doesn’t like you.” “Well, he probably hates me, now!” Stiles insisted, turning back to Derek.
He looked extremely displeased.
You're My Sanctuary by lilmissdaydreamer
The Argent Wolf Sanctuary. It’s been Stiles’ dream since he was five years old to work with the wolves, ever since his mother took him up there to see the magnificent creatures on one of their ‘full moon runs’ that the Sanctuary does once a month. The wolves are beautiful and much larger than Stiles would’ve thought, or at least, the newest wolf is. The owner had said he’s a special breed. Stiles just didn’t realize quite how special he is.
Stuck in This in Between by calrissian18
“You’re not getting better, Derek.” And it was the first time he’d called him that since he’d realized he wasn’t really.
The Feral Alpha by halcyon1993
Derek has lived in a half-feral state in the wilderness ever since hunters killed his family. When the hunters return years later, he gets his revenge and finds his true mate in one of the boys they were holding captive. He claims him immediately.
Safe Mind by LadyDrace
Derek goes missing for a while and comes back full wolf. Only problem is that his mind has gone wolf too, and for some reason the only one he'll allow near him… is Stiles.
Of Blood and Feral Wolves by Flicker_Ash
After Stiles is hurt in a surprise attack, Derek's wolf takes over and won't let anyone near him. Doesn't matter if it's Scott or a paramedic, when there's blood and no sarcasm, no-one's touching Stiles.
Light at the end of the tunnel by Lesatha
“Careful, Stilinski. Don’t think you can go around telling me what to do, or coddling the werewolf.” “What does it matter to you?” “If the feral alpha kills you, it will be my fault, as your supervisor.” Stiles’ head whipped towards the werewolf. He couldn’t see much of him apart from his red eyes, always following Stiles. Crazy as it might sound, it comforted him. The werewolf wasn’t the rabid animal Elis seemed to picture. He was just… hurt.
Feral by melofttroll
Scott’s yelling now as the Jeep comes to a halt, and Stiles ignores him as he clambers from the seat. The skid turned the Jeep completely around, and his headlights are pointed at something that is decidedly not dog-ish, or bear-ish, but very, very human. And by the shuddering breaths coming from the man’s chest, very much alive. Feral!Derek, Sterek AU
Lessons in Humanity by exclamation
Fleeing from werewolves, Stiles comes face to face with Derek, a werewolf human in shape but animal in his mind. Stiles is terrified of being killed, but it seems Derek has decided Stiles would make a suitable mate. Unfortunately, his idea of a romantic gift is a dead animal on the doorstep. Stiles must help Derek remember what it is to be human… and figure out how to explain his new werewolf stalker to his dad.
Throw Away the Key by mommymuffin
Stiles knew it was stupid to go to the hunters’ headquarters all by himself, so when he finds himself caught, he can really only blame himself. It shouldn't surprise Stiles when the situation quickly goes from bad to worse as the hunters throw him to a feral werewolf waiting to tear him apart. Sucks that it's Derek, though.
Thanks for Thumper, But I Prefer Cheeseburgers by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
The wolf’s head whipped around so fast, Stiles felt like he was watching The Exorcist. Stiles wondered if he could just stand still enough to make the wolf think he was a tree. A very bright red and jean-clad tree. He doubted it, but one could hope. He knew it was a lost cause when the wolf turned fully, lips pulled back from its sharp teeth—so very sharp, good fucking Lord!—and began walking towards Stiles. “I didn’t see anything!” Stiles shouted, both hands out in front of himself and sweat instantly breaking out across his skin. “I swear to you! I didn’t see anything! I didn’t see anything! I won’t tell anyone! I won’t! I’ll keep this to myself, until the day I die! I promise! I promise!”
What I Did On My Summer Vacation by grimm
There's something weird about Beacon Hills that Stiles can't quite put his finger on. The way everyone in town knows his name the day he arrives. The way they insist the melancholic howling that echoes through the forest every night is just a dog. The way his dad denies getting a dog, even though Stiles comes home to find one sprawled across his bed, some big black thing whose eyes gleam red in the right light. The way that massive oak tree out in the woods vibrates under his touch, pulsing with sickly life. There's something weird going on in this town, and Stiles is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Hallowed Grounds by damnfancyscotch
Everything in Beacon Hills is the same when Stiles comes home from college. Well, except for the fact that he's a published author now, Scott is halfway across the world with a travelling circus, Erica's epilepsy has been cured, her boss offers him a job too, and there's this weird black dog that seems to be following him around just to judge him. Oh, and the murders, of course. But other than that stuff… totally the same old BH.
There Are No Wolves in California (Werewolves on the Other Hand…) by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella), KioFox
“I’m not calming down until you call animal control! I fucking saw it! There were fucking wolves!” “There are no wolves in California, Mr. Daehler,” the principal said, sounding exasperated, like this was the third time she’d said it to him. “Well clearly there are!” he shouted back, showing such a lack of respect for the woman, Stiles had to applaud her for her fortitude not to smack him in the face. “Perhaps you were mistaken,” she said calmly. “No I wasn’t fucking mistaken,” Matt insisted, sounding incensed. “No way these were dogs, they were massive!” For a second, Stiles felt like the world had slowed considerably as those words wormed their way into his brain. Because—he knew a dog that was massive. Honestly, he’d also brushed away the idea of the dog being a wolf because there were no wolves in California. But… what if there were? Holy shit, had Stiles literally spent his lunch break with a fucking wolf cuddled into his side while he pet it?! Good God, he was lucky to still have all his limbs!
Where the Real Beasts Are by kaistrex (weishen)
Crown Prince Stiles is gifted a direwolf on his eighteenth birthday by King Gerard I of Venatia. The only instruction? Never remove the collar. Stiles never has been one to do as he’s told.
The Soul Knows What the Heart Wants by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
“Holy—shit,” Stiles breathed, Bacon stopping in what he was doing, still staring at him intently, as if begging him to understand, for someone to finally understand. Stiles felt like he’d been electrocuted and he leapt out of his chair, kneeling in front of Bacon and grabbing at his furry face. “Holy shit! Oh my God, are you—wait, holy—you’re not fucking with me, right?!” Bacon let out two quick barks, which Stiles chose to interpret as ‘no.’ "Oh my God, are you a real person in there?!” Stiles shouted in the wolf’s face, staring him right in the eye. He was still holding the wolf’s head with both hands, but Bacon dipped his muzzle in confirmation and Stiles officially lost his mind. “Oh my God!” he shouted again, releasing Bacon to clutch at his own hair. “Oh my God! Dude, for real?! You’re—holy shit! Holy shit!” He didn’t know how to react to this news. He had no fucking idea how to react. This was a person?! But how?! How was this a person?! People didn’t just turn into wolves!
Rabbit Hearted by secondstar, Tsuminoaru
Storytellers were known for their talented tongues, their ability to weave tales and enthrall the listener. Their stories held weight, taken as truth as they were passed down from generation to generation. A tale of a cursed pack of wolves was one such story that Stiles had known since he was a child. Never did he think that he would become part of that tale, or that its weight would be up upon his shoulders. A tale of curses, sacrifices, and acceptance of one's inner self.
Being Close to You by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella)
Realization dawned and Derek cursed himself viciously. How could he be stupid enough to forget Scott was a Werewolf? He could fucking smell him! Scott knew it was him! “Stiles?” Scott asked uncertainly while Stiles started opening and closing various cabinets, looking for who knew what. “That’s not a d—” Derek snarled and let out a loud bark, eyes glowing blue in Scott’s direction since Stiles couldn’t see him from where he was standing. Scott scowled at him, moving closer to him and inhaling pointedly. “What are you doing here, Derek?” Scott asked, voice low enough that Stiles wouldn’t hear. He wasn’t listening anyway, still panicking and randomly opening things.
(You) Bring Out the Beast (In Me) by Ember
“Should I make out the wedding invitations?” Stiles swallowed his mouthful of soda.”What?” Lydia smirked. “Well, you and Derek have seemed awfully cozy lately. Just wanted to be supportive.” “Oh, yeah, because that’s exactly why I went into wildlife preservation.” He rolled his eyes. “Beastiality jokes.” +++ Aka the one where Derek is a wolf and Stiles is his trainer, and then magic and transformations and feelings happen.
A Boy’s Best Friend by KnottheWolf
Stiles was just having some ‘me time’ when things escalated with his dog, Wolf. Or at least, he thinks it’s a dog.
"good boy" by quackquackcey
Stiles doesn’t think his senior year can get any worse with his best friend turning rabid every full moon, until he finds himself stuck with a massive black wolf overnight that doesn’t even like jerky. But on the bright side, the hot guy with the half-dying sister he met at the gas station seems to be in town for a bit, so there’s still a chance that his senior year, his supposed best year of high school, isn’t a complete lost cause…right? That is, if he can manage to juggle the sassy wolf that he takes care of at night and the hot guy that asked him out on a date for some reason.~ 🐺🍕

(Complete stranger here, so feel free to ignore if this misses the point of the post. 💦)
It does suck feeling that way, yeah. It took me a long time to not worry as much about the amount of diversity there is in my OCs. Idk if it's that much of a bother for you, but I think I get what you're laying down.
The rest of the post is me rambling. I am terribly sorry,
I think somewhere down the line, the criticism for a lack of representation for race, gender, body type, disabilities, etc, aimed at large studios and companies got lost? Or at least applied to people who are just hobbyists, if that makes sense?
There's nothing wrong with wanting more variety. It's always good to take the opportunity to go outside your comfort zone or experiment with different types of character / research different types of people.
But, I've seen a good few fellow artists worry about having too much of one type of OC or another. As if it's somehow a mistake or failing on their part to not have at least X, Y, or Z, thing. (This includes things like adding/making someone white/cis/abled/etc, not just underrepresented groups.)
I really don't think it's something the average artist should burden themselves with as much as I've seen. Art is an expression of yourself and experiences; It will naturally have biases and unique traits in it.
One shouldn't feel bad or guilty for creating for or from themselves with these biases. Sometimes, it's not about the audience. Sometimes, you want to make what you want to see in the world! Or what you've seen yourself! And that is 100% okay! You obviously don't need my permission but, You do you dude!! 👍
in some ways I feel bad that if my furry characters were to be drawn human I don't think any of them would be white they would most likely be black or any person of color.
and I go
"I need to make someone white 😭😭😭"
but as a black guy I'm kinda just making characters based off people I've seen irl especially as someone who grew up in predominantly black/mixed race populated schools.
